Young volunteers on a recent project in the Lake District

Get Experienced is a volunteer project, which is managed by 4CT Ltd and is based at the Grange in Beswick, east Manchester. It is open to residents in north and east Manchester and will work with at least 450 volunteers. It was opened on 12 September 2011 by Cllr. Jim Battle, Deputy Leader at Manchester City Council. 

Volunteers

Get Experienced will support local residents to access training and volunteering opportunities. It will include support for people who want to volunteer and education and training opportunities for people who want to use volunteering as a step towards getting back into work.

Groups & Businesses

Get Experienced will assist groups and businesses that need volunteers and provide a wide range of local placements ranging from community based groups to local businesses and retailers.

Harpurhey Community Garden

Is looking for volunteers on the following Thursdays: 12th April, 28th April, 3rd May and 10th May 10.30am - 2pm. No experience required as training will be given on-site. Please dress appropriately (good sturdy shoes etc).  Drinks and snacks will be provided.

Location: Harpurhey Community Garden, Windsor Rd and Brentford St.

Coffee Morning for Volunteers   -   every Wednesday 9.30am - 11.30am  -  starting 18th April

Are you thinking or volunteering, but have got questions that need answerering? Are you currently volunteering but want to look for something new, or share your experiences (good and bad)? Come along to our friendly coffee morning for tea and toast (thickly sliced and buttered), coffee and biscuits and a jolly good chat. Travel expenses for all participants refunded, and well-behaved children welcomed.
